Testimonial of the Month from Costa Rica: A Transformational Journey to Natural Living

Dear Tonya, I recently finished your book Quantum Eating, after high recommendations from a mutual friend of ours from NJ, Karen Ranzi (who is about to publish Creating Healthy Children). I very much enjoyed reading the book and want to express gratitude for the tireless work you have done to promote conscious eating of living foods within mainstream society and for sharing wholeheartedly your journey and the conclusions you have come to regarding health, aging, skincare, etc.

Having also delved deeply into the “living foods” journey over 6 years ago, I appreciate the diverseness of our respective paths and thought I would share some of the distinct ways we have both arrived to a place of tremendous joy, health, abundance and gratitude in our lives.

Two years after switching to a 100% living foods diet in NYC, I found myself homesteading a piece of land alone in southern pacific Costa Rica. (now over 4 years ago…) For more info on my personal experience living “raw” in the jungle please see this link and then select the most recent issue to read the recently published article I wrote: www.livingnutrition.com.

The “hot yoga” that I have come to love and enjoy is something I do alone and naturally under the highly charged morning sun. After five years of a daily practice I have developed a routine that is highly personal (like eating) and includes the Five Tibetan Rites, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, etc.

As far as eating, I prefer to eat several mono-meals throughout the day. I don’t blend or combine my foods and consider form, texture and smell to be an important part of the eating process, much of which is lost in the blending and mixing process.

I also prefer to stop eating between 2-3 p.m. and dry-fasting until the next morning. I have had no interest in drinking water for several years now and people always look at me funny when I tell them this! On a mostly fruit diet I am hydrating throughout the day.

Keep up the wonderful work that you are doing and know that there are others out there who are living these same truths!
