Anti-Aging Foods... Do They Exist?

Ancient Chinese legend has it that an 80 year-old farmer was tilling the field when he fell through the ground into an old cave, finding himself trapped. Soon he got hungry, but there was no food. The farmer noticed a big tortoise feeding on tree mushrooms growing in the cave. Apparently that tortoise had been living there a while, surviving on those mushrooms. The farmer followed the reptile's example. Weeks later the man was rescued, and emerged from the cave with a full head of hair, looking much younger than his age. Since then, the mushrooms he ate have been credited with potent anti-aging properties.

I hear your questions: What's the name of those mushrooms? Can I buy them at Kroger?

When I heard this story, I never bothered to remember the name of the mushroom, because I believe it wasn't the mushrooms that produced the "youthening" effect. Rather, it was the fact that he ate rather little, and ate the same food every day.

Think about those anti-aging miracles you see talked about on TV. We get excited about some new found elixir of youth, just in time to see it replaced by an even newer one a month later. The authentic elixir is one you already have at hand, in abundance. That is the simple practice of keeping your food intake simple. There is no need for hard-to-find exotic ingredients.

So is there an "anti-aging food"? If there is, then it has to be hemp seeds. I can vouch for this as I've been including it in my meals almost every day since going raw in 1997. My favorite hemp seed recipes: salad dressings and shakes. This complete-protein, easily digestible product, I believe, can take credit for my smooth sailing on the raw food lifestyle.

One of the most common questions asked of us raw plant food fans: Where do you get your protein? I've never had to worry. The hemp plant delivers the most nutritious seed in the world and more digestible protein, ounce for ounce, than meat, whole eggs, cheese, human milk, cow milk, or any other "high protein food." Hemp seed is also one of the best balanced sources of Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids.

After years of consuming hemp seed, I never get tired of it. I believe it's a true beauty food and it belongs in my store. We now offer one pound bags of the best quality I could find. They are available here...

For those who wonder...Our hemp hearts (shelled hemp seeds) contain only trace amounts (0.001%) of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the stuff that gives marijuana its psychoactive effects. In other words, hemp hearts will not get you high, but they will keep you healthy. That will reassure many. I'm sure, too, it will disappoint a few.

Please note, as always, I only offer in my Online Store what I use personally. And only what works.

My New E-book is Almost Ready!

It's almost ready. All that's left is the cover, and some final touches! What is an ageless face-really? It's a face that doesn't wear the mask of aging.

Have you had this experience...You catch your own reflection in the mirror...and you recoil: Who is that, staring back at me? For me, it happened when I was 37. Almost 20 years ago.  I had that reaction when I saw a puffy face...double chin...eye bags...my skin beginning to have an orange peel texture...constant breakouts.

For every one of us there is an image of how we see ourselves in our mind...and there is the picture in the mirror...When they totally disagree, it's hard to be happy. Right then I knew I had to do something. One experiment, one practice led to another. And now I have my own complete system to get you to that ageless face. Learn more about the system in my upcoming E-book. My newly published YouTube Video gives more info about the E-book.
