Better than Botox

Botox Drawbacks

Financial Effects

It’s an astonishing phenomenon, really—treating one area on the face runs from $425 to $750, and the results last only a few months. If it’s not your wallet that suffers, your body will sooner or later rebel from such toxic abuse. Among other things, Botox will harm your liver. But back, for a moment, to your wallet. Newspapers report that Botox’s retail markup, in your doctor’s hands, is as much as 1000 percent. Not to malign the moral code of any particular medical practitioner, including those who use Botox, but gosh that’s a powerful financial incentive, don’t you think?

Interestingly, doctors who dispense Botox usually give no general warning against the product— they only warn you not to administer it by yourself.

The Nasty Truth

Here’s a slice of the nasty truth…Botox is a nerve toxin that gets its name from the toxin Botulinum A—yes, the same one that causes death when ingested via contaminated canned foods. Botox is injected into the facial muscles precisely because it, in effect, causes a limited paralysis, making the muscles relax, thereby eliminating various types of wrinkles and making the skin appear smooth. This effect is only temporary and, because of its very nature, creates a dependency that specialists are now warning is addictive. People are compelled to return for repeat procedures in order to maintain their youthful looks. If you are on the raw food diet, Botox could be particularly dangerous for you since your body has already cleansed itself and will be particularly “surprised” by this barrage of poison.

Let’s take a more rational view: We must realize there are better ways to deal with undesirable skin issues, including wrinkles, acne and rashes. The best way to prevent these scenarios is to never go down that path. Nature serves up a solid answer that just so happens to be inexpensive, painless, effective, and, best of all...not addictive.

Consider What's Going on Inside

Let us get honest about skin care. After 40 there is quite a direct correlation between your skin and your interior health. Outside and in are part of the same whole. And transforming your face into a mask isn’t—not wisely, anyway, part of that whole.
