Celery and Apple Juice

Time for cleansing. You know I’m a big believer in juicing—for years, I’ve been juicing all sorts of vegetables. But lately, I’ve gone a specific way: celery-and-apple juice. The core idea…Plain celery juice, 8 to 16 ounces of it, is the best and the easiest way to keep your juicing practice going. But I find the need to add one small apple. Doubtless it’s the lingering sugarholic in me, still demanding some sweetness in my daily juice. I won’t fight it—I figure consistency and enjoyment of the process is more important than any arbitrary notion of “purity.”
Bottom line…If you can enjoy a straight celery juice day after day, go for it. If not, stay in the game by adding an apple. Then you’ll be left with no excuses!
